About Claire

Richmond one to one yoga

Claire began practising yoga in Indianapolis in the 1990’s.  Since then her teaching evolved into Vinyāsa flow. Qualified to teach in 2008 Claire has taught regular classes in London to adults, teenagers and children. Specialising in teaching Yoga to refugee women. 
Between 2011-2014 Claire taught workshops and retreats across Europe.  From the roof tops of coastal hotels in Montenegro, to retreats in snowy Lapland and mountain hideaways in Eastern Slovakia.  Claire continues to  organise regular sunrise castle roof top sessions in an ashram in Belgium. A place where Claire lived for several years. 
Continuously motivated by her yoga teachers; Anil Janga, Subramaniam Manoharan (Mano), Luma Zaki and Padmananada Lambert. Whom she owes a special debt of gratitude too. They continue to inspire and shape her Yoga journey. Claire regularly participants in Intensives by Shiva Rae and Kino MacGregor.

SUP Yoga Paddle Boarding

Claire qualified as a Yoga Alliance 500 hour Yoga tutor in 2014.  She works with the Classical Yoga School based in Addlestone (Surrey), Edinburgh and Glasgow.  And is completing her PhD  study which captured how a group of women experienced yoga in a Swedish refugee integration program. Claire also teaches SUP Yoga and has had great fun splashing about on (and occasionally in) the water.
